Los Alamos Dog Obedience Club and
Endeavor Working Dog Club
A Working Seminar with Wendy Volhard and Mary Ann Zeigenfuse.
Oct 11-12, 2003 Los Alamos, New Mexico
Registration Form
A 2-day motivational, working seminar focused on teaching, practicing,
and training your dog through positive reinforcement. Behavioral
issues inhibiting training will also be addressed. The Volhard
experience will give you a sense of accomplishment because you
will understand your dog’s behavior better and you will
gain experience working as a team with your dog.
Wendy Volhard and her husband, Jack, are accomplished
trainers and have obtained over 50 conformation and performance
titles, multiple High in Trials and Dog World Awards of Canine
Distinction with their German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, Landseer
Newfoundlands, Standard Wirehaired Dachshunds and Yorkshire Terrier.
The Volhards are the developers of “Motivational Method”,
an approach to training for people who like their dogs, and who
have them first and foremost as pets and companions. At the heart
of the "Motivational Method" is the conviction that
positive reinforcement is the most effective teaching tool.
Mary Ann Zeigenfuse owns and operates Best
Friends Obedience, Inc., the largest training school in Central
Kentucky. She is a long-standing member of National
Association of Obedience Instructors, a licensed veterinarian
technician and supervisor at a large veterinary hospital. She
has been teaching dog obedience classes since 1980 and her most
famous "student" was the White House Springer, Millie.
She is the author of Dog
Tricks: Step by Step (Howell Book House), and is a regular
contributor to Off-Lead
Magazine.
